About Me
"Hello" my name is Omar Dotson, I started coding about six years ago, and the way I got into this industry was kind of weird because I always knew I wanted to be an innovator somehow or some way, but I didn't know exactly how to get started into the tech business. I was a sales consultant prior, and all I did was make a whole bunch of phone calls most of the day selling phone services and phone systems, which included Partial T ones and Full T ones, and POTS Lines for an authorized distributor that worked for AT&T directly, I was cool with that because I loved helping people finding solutions for there problems, and I really believed in what I was doing. Later on, a friend of mine who had got me hired at the job decided he wanted to start his own consulting business, and he begged me to work for him instead of working where he got me hired. Because I was a loyal friend, I decided to join him, and another friend of mine named Bob was a partner also, he did all of the Tech and IT, and one day, when we had a bunch of free time on our hands, Bob showed me some HTML code I picked up a little knowledge and forgot all about it, but to make a long story short my friend that I had left AT&T with to start a company couldn't keep up with the finances, and the company went under, and now I was out of a job. I found myself gaming a lot and feeling depressed, so one day, another friend of mine named Clever called me up and told me that he started to learn how to code, and he asked me would I like to join him, I thought it would be a good idea to start coding at a business with him on a team collaborating instead of staying home and playing video games all day, I could be making video games all day, and possibly get employed writing code for a company and earn some good money at the same time, so I called him up and said let's do it, considering I already learned how to code a little bit from my friend Bob who taught me some HTML. But just when I thought this could work. My friend Clever quit coding leaving me solo, working by myself with no collaboration. So I spent 95% of my time alone learning, but I stayed motivated and kept going. I started to learn Java first, then Javascript, which was totally backwards after finding out later that I should have learned Javascript first along with the other front end languages like HTML and CSS but in the long run, it made all of the different coding languages easier to learn so then I learned C# for working with gaming engines like unity and also Kotlin for android studios, than Flutter Dart IO and many more languages after that I was literally hooked I put so much work & time into coding I would never turn back. And I've been coding ever since then.
